About Robyn

I have always had a strong passion for animals. I grew up with animals, on a small hobby farm. I competitively rode horses for 20 years. We ran a small horse breeding facility. I have always had a love for dogs and love being around them. For my 16th birthday I got my own "first dog". The passion and love from then, has only grown. When I moved out on my own and began "life", it always included animals. I have always strongly believed in raising children around animals. I include animals in much of my daily life.

6 years ago I decided to enter the world of dog showing. I have owner handled, 2 of our dogs to Canadian Championships.

I have worked with people with special needs for over 20 years and have done therapy and volunteer work with our dogs and the people I have supported over the years.

The Robinsons

We are a family of 4. Argon, Robyn, Mason and Vienna.We live on a small hobby farm in the Okanagan, BC,as well have a recreational propery up the West Coast of BC in Bella Bella. We love everything to do with the outdoors and spend as much time as possible on or in the water. Both Argon and Robyn have had dogs in our lives since we were children. We now have 3 Greater Swiss Mountain dogs, and one Brussel Griffon that live with us, and we co own 8 Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs that live with other families, but visit regularly. We include our dogs in much of our daily activities, from hiking, boating, traveling, farm work, and much more. Vienna our daughter has also taken on dog showing as well as obedience training with our dogs.

Family Raised

Our dogs live in our home. They are raised from the day they are born around people. They are well socialized and exposed to many different environments and settings. They visit schools, day programs, fairs, parades and much more. Our puppies are born in our dog room, which is directly off our kitchen.

The whole time she was raising the pups she gave lots of updates and sent lots of pictures, so we felt very bonded to our pup the moment we met him. Robyn McHattie is an amazing breeder. Her pups are gorgeous and on top of that Robyn goes above and beyond as a breeder. She's super passionate and knowledgeable about the breed and she's on top of everything. As an example we had some trouble with our airline on the day of pickup and Robyn jumped right in and was assisting us in finding a solution, and driving through a snowstorm to do it. Without her quick help we would have been stuck in an airport for I don't know how long. Can't speak highly enough about her or her pups. Highly recommend. I'd fly across the continent to get one of her pups.

Right from the start, Robyn welcomed all our questions and was just so generous with her time. She knows her breed, and this comes through when she's answering your "bazillion" questions. You can feel the love her, and her family have for these giant dogs as they are truly members of the family. We would, without a doubt, work with Robyn again for another Swissie!! Lexy is just Perfect!! Thanks again Robyn!!!

Honestly I don’t even know where to start. She is a doll. We are learning a lot together. Robyn and her family care so much about these pups and it shows. She has gone so far above and beyond for our family I don’t even think a massive thank you would ever be enough. Their knowledge on this breed is phenomenal.
